આ પત્ર પોટકામાં પાછું મુકતો મુકતો અને બીજું પત્ર ક્હાડતો ક્હાડતો સરસ્વતીચંદ્ર આવેશમાં આવી ગાવા લાગ્યો.

થોડીવાર અટક્યો. બીજો પત્ર ઉઘાડતાં પહેલાં હાથનો સ્વસ્તિક રચી, પત્થર ઉપર બેસી રહી, વળી ગાવા લાગ્યો.

એાઠ કરડી ભ્રમર ચ્હડાવી બીજો પત્ર વાંચવાનું આરંભ્યું. એને મથાળું ન હતું અને નીચે સહી ન હતી. માત્ર ચંદ્રકાંતની સ્ત્રી ગંગાના વાંકાચુકા અક્ષર હતા.
